Year 9/10 – Stage 5

As students enter Stage 5, they will begin to encounter topics that will expand their abilities, skill set and mathematical processes as a bridge to HSC Mathematics. The following topics will be taught, with the core outcome of 'Working Mathematically' being integrated throughout all lessons.

Within each topic, the syllabus has varying levels to give students the opportunity to extend themselves as far as possible as well as being a pathway to different HSC mathematics levels including Standard 1, Standard 2, Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2. Our classes will always try to challenge students and will adjust difficulty in relation to the class performance and personal student goals.
